  3.  Playground is operating on STadel version 3.3c-217 software, installed
  4.  on 02/27/89 and presently undergoing beta-testing.  Currently STadel 
  5.  runs on MS-DOS computers and the Atari ST.  The hardware at Playground 
  6.  is an Atari 520ST w/1meg ram, two 3.5 single-sided disk drives, one 
  7.  20meg ICD FA-ST Hard Drive, and a Hayes-compatible `Parrot' 1200 modem.

  9.  Citadel/STadel is a room-structured message system.  The fundamental 
  10.  design goal is to provide a congenial forum conducive to interesting 
  11.  discussions.  The software is intended to be as unobtrusive, unintrusive 
  12.  and unconstraining as possible.  In software as elsewhere, good 
  13.  engineering is whatever gets the job done without calling attention to 
  14.  itself.
